The Dangers of Nail Polish and Fake Nails
Nail polish is one of my pet peeves, especially when I see it on the fingernails and toenails of little girls.
Your nails are not impenetrable barriers. They're porous. Chemicals painted on your nails and your little girl's nails can be absorbed into your bodies.
One of the main dangers of nail polish is the chemical class, phthalates. These chemicals are classified as possible carcinogens by the EPA. They're also mutagenic.
